Anne Harriss
Head of Production, Localisation

Anne keeps the work moving and the people behind it steady. She leads Plint’s localisation production team, balancing client demands and delivery pressures while making sure the people doing the work have what they need.

She knows the work from the inside. Before leading production, Anne worked as a Project Manager, Production Manager, translator and proofreader. Her approach to leadership is simple: be present, be honest, follow through, and be someone people can rely on.

She once left the language industry convinced she was done with it. Then Plint drew her back. What she found was a place where serious work and a slightly unhinged sense of humour can coexist, even on the most demanding days.

Her conviction is that however automated localisation becomes, its purpose remains human: helping people understand and experience stories.

Outside work, she sings in a choir. She loves the mix of people, the discipline and the moment when different voices become one.

Carlo DeCianti
Head of Sales

Carlo opens doors. A decade at BTI Studios, through its merger into Iyuno, gave him a career spent in the space between what a client needs and what a production floor can promise.

He works both sides of that line: winning the work, then making sure the delivery earns the next conversation. For him, the relationship does not end when the contract is signed. That is where it starts being tested.

His conviction is that quality is a duty, not a preference. Localised content becomes part of how people hear, read and understand language. Let the standard slip and the consequences reach beyond a single title.

Lately he has been thinking about honesty of another kind: whether audiences should know when the voice they hear is synthetic.

Ivana Marić
Head of Product Quality

Ivana is Strata’s biggest critic and one of its strongest champions. As Head of Product Quality, she works across product, Sales and clients, making sure the move from traditional subtitling to Strata earns trust rather than asks for it.

Her relationship with language is personal. As a former refugee, she knows what it means when language becomes a barrier to being heard, understood or informed. That experience led her to translation and still shapes the standards she sets today.

She believes AI will replace a significant share of translation work, but not linguists. The role will change, and her current fascination is how clients, freelancers and she herself resist, adapt to and eventually make that change their own.

Ivana has a Master’s in Translation Studies and speaks Bosnian, German, Swedish and English.

Outside work, she is engaged in another long-running quality-assurance exercise: convincing her teenage daughters she is still the coolest person on earth. Results remain inconclusive.

Johan Gladh
Chief Product Officer

Johan has spent more than two decades in the media supply chain, much of it with his hands inside the machine. Encoding, restoring, editing, authoring, and more localisation packages than he will admit to.

Nine years at Sony convinced him he had little left to learn about the business. A subtitling company proved him wrong. It remains one of the most useful things he knows: re-examine everything, starting with your own conclusions. He is usually the person the room turns to when a hard call needs a level head.

As CPO, Johan keeps Plint’s product honest with reality. What the platform promises should be what the platform does. His current fixation is context: identifying what a system really needs to understand in order to make the right decision.

He will tell you entertainment is not a life-or-death business, and that an industry obsessed with the future can still be remarkably wary of it.

He rides, breaks and fixes machines, currently mopeds. At the football club he is board member and janitor. Equal weight.

Lisa Bäckson
Head of Analytics and Insight

Lisa turns complexity into something Plint can act on. She builds the data and insight behind faster decisions, from understanding linguist quality to seeing which products, projects and parts of the business create real value.

Her instinct is to find the weak spot, make sense of the mess and give it structure. She learned that early at EF Education First, where being handed something wildly ambitious was fairly normal. One assignment involved creating a music festival for 6,000 international teenagers in six months. Another meant working out how to get 100,000 books to exactly the right place at exactly the right time. It left her with a useful assumption: most things are possible once you work out the logic.

At Plint, that means deciding what should be measured, how the data can be trusted, and how to turn it into something people can actually use. She believes there is real craft behind localisation, people who care deeply about carrying meaning faithfully from one language to another. Her job is to help make more of that quality visible.

Outside work, Lisa’s attention shifts from dashboards to her garden, where flowers, herbs and whatever else she can persuade to grow provide a rather less measurable way to recharge.

Niklas Jansson
Chief Technology Officer

Niklas has been programming since he was a child and has never really wanted to do anything else. He was experimenting with AI at fifteen, during the last AI winter, when much of the field had stopped believing in where it might lead. He kept going.

What he is good at is refusing to stop. Nine failed attempts into a problem, his attention is already on the tenth and how quickly it can be tested.

He sees localisation as an unusually difficult software problem because it demands deep technical understanding and deep language understanding at the same time.

That intersection is what brought him to Plint: serious technical ambition inside a company built from language.

His hobbies tend to become infrastructure: twenty-five knives, multiple grills, several fridges, rare mushrooms and forty-eight-hour stews.

Apparently this is relaxing.

Per Nauclér
Founder & Chief Commercial Officer

Pelle is one of Plint’s founders, one of five subtitlers who started the company in Gothenburg in 2002. More than twenty years and several titles later, the underlying job has never really changed.

He has spent more than thirty years inside localisation, long enough to watch the hard question evolve. For much of his career it was whether the work was good. Increasingly, he believes the question is whether you can trust it. That is what he builds toward: systems where quality can be understood, traced and held to a standard shaped by the best people he has worked with.

He works in the future tense. Give him a problem that still feels years away and his instinct is to build the working version and see what becomes possible. He is often the one pushing Plint toward questions the industry has not solved yet. Someone has to jump first.

A subtitler by trade, still, however the title reads. Outside work, he builds his music studio and codes an assistant that lives inside Ableton Live. He does not build to unwind. Building is the unwinding.

Pernilla Abrahamsson
Head of Talent Management

Pernilla gets things done. At Plint, that means leading Talent Management for our freelance linguists and vendors, while working across operations both strategically and hands-on. Her job sits where people, quality and production meet.

She started out as a translator and has spent twenty-five years in localisation, moving through translation, QC, Talent Management and leadership along the way. She was also involved in developing EN 15038, the translation-industry standard that later evolved into ISO 17100, so quality and the systems behind it have been part of her work for a long time.

Her belief about the industry is simple: it will survive. The work will change, technology will change, and her focus now is helping people adapt to new ways of working without losing the expertise the industry depends on.

Outside work, she is looking for practical ways to contribute to the green movement. Change, it seems, is not something she is only interested in managing at work.

Sanna Evaldsson
Head of Partner Management

Sanna sits between one of Plint’s most important client relationships and the teams that make the work happen. She translates client needs into something the organisation can act on, bringing together production, engineering, analytics, finance and management around what matters most.

She has spent more than sixteen years at Plint and held several roles along the way. That gives her an unusually deep understanding of how the company works, and a calm sense of what can be solved, who needs to be involved and what can safely be ignored. Colleagues know her for cutting through complexity, explaining things simply and keeping her head when the pressure rises.

Her belief about localisation is even simpler: it matters. The details matter, the language matters, the relationship matters, and so does the way all of it comes together for the client and the audience.

Sanna has a BA in English Language and Literature and a Master’s degree in Translation Studies.

Outside work, she knits. It keeps her hands busy and her mind quiet, while feeding a growing appreciation for what is handmade, how long good things take, and why they are worth taking care of.

Tobias Mannheimer
Head of Business Development

Tobias came up through international media, including MTV, Viacom and Canal Digital, learning early that the deal is rarely the point. The relationship after it is.

He is also a trained coach, which explains a lot about how he works. He negotiates for the whole room, looks for value others have missed, and builds the kind of trust that lasts beyond a contract.

What fascinates him now is the gap between what technology makes possible and what an industry is ready to change. Transformation rarely moves as quickly as the technology behind it. His job is to help close that gap in a way that works commercially for everyone involved.

He has thrown pottery for more than twenty years. His plates have gone to a Michelin-starred kitchen, to the Swedish Chef of the Year four times over, and to the neighbourhood café. He is not throwing for the shelf. He throws for the table.

Åsa Zimmerman
Chief Executive Officer

Åsa runs Plint. The whole machine. More than two decades in, she has worked across almost every part of the company, giving her an unusually complete view of how it works from the inside.

She believes far more of localisation will become automated, far sooner than much of the industry expects. When she became CEO, she committed Plint to that future and has led its transformation from localisation company to technology business without losing sight of where the company came from.

Through all of it, she has been the counterweight to Pelle’s vision. He chases what localisation could become. She is the reason Plint gets there. He supplies the leaps. She supplies the landing.

Åsa has a Master’s in translation and is fluent in English and French. Outside work, there is a pony. He is a ten-year plan.
