Göteborg Film Festival has developed and grown strong for more than 40 years and is today the largest film festival in the Nordic countries and the most important annual meeting place in the Nordic film industry.

The festival runs for eleven days during the month of January-February and attracts around 270,000 visitors, in cinemas and online. During the festival period, about 250 films from some 80 countries will be shown in about 700 screenings.

Within the framework of the film festival, several industry-enhancing activities are held under the concept of Göteborg Film Festival Industry Scene including Nordic Film Market and several skills development and forward-looking efforts for the film industry, the annual Nostradamus report for instance.
